Denice Rippentrop would like to thank: The 100-voice Masterworks Chorale of Augsburg College, under the direction of founder and conductor Peter Hendrickson, is a unique symphonic chorus in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul comprised of auditioned students, alumni, staff, faculty and community friends. Highlights of its eleven years in existence are frequent collaborations with the Minnesota Orchestra, the English-language premiere of Egil Hovland's opera, "Captive and Free," and performances of such great works as Brahms' "Ein deutsches Requiem," Mozart's "Grand Mass in C Minor," and Bach's "St. John Passion." The chorale has also performed and often premiered works by contemporary composers such as Denice Rippentrop, Carol Barnett, Stephen Paulus, Sigvald Tveidt, Egil Hovland, and Kari Tikka.

Conductor Peter Hendrickson founded the Masterworks Chorale in 1994 and serves as Director of Choral Activities at Augsburg College in Minneapolis, Minnesota where he also conducts the Augsburg Choir and
is Music Director of Advent Vespers, Augsburg College's annual holiday event. A graduate of Augsburg College, he received graduate training in West Berlin, Germany and in New York City, both at Columbia University, where he studied musicology, and the Manhattan School of Music, where he received his doctorate in harpsichord and conducting. Hendrickson has also been an organist in churches for over 30 years and currently spends a lot of time composing and orchestrating.
