"Denice Rippentrop's new compositions, "Sing Faith", "Such Deep Peace" and "I Wait", exhibit once again the composer's deep sensitivity to both sound and text. These pieces use lovely and interesting scoring: "Such Deep Peace is scored for chorus and a beautiful oboe obbligato; "I Wait" uses flute and cello; and "Sing Faith", an energetic piano and woodblock accompaniment. Accessible to both church choirs and community choruses, these works employ luscious and rich vocal lines, consistent with Rippentrop's honest style of compositions. These new works will add depth and interest to any choirs repertoire."
