Psalms 62: 1,2 (NISB)

My soul waits in silence for God only;   From Him is my salvation.
He only is my rock and my salvation, My stronghold; I shall not be
Greatly shaken.

SALVATION!

My soul is made steady……………

My soul is made strong……………

My soul is made new………………

Seeing the Faith Journey Through...

Focusing on Who God is and what He has done for one in the past, strengths one’s faith.

Look at these following Scriptures and see what God’s Word says.

Psalms 118:6  The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me?

Psalms 117:2  For great is His steadfast love toward us, and the faithfulness of the LORD endures forever.  Praise the Lord!

Matthew 8: 26  And He said to them, “Why are you afraid, O you of little faith?”  Then He rose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.

Is it not time for you to trade in fear for faith?

Fear knocked at the door and
Faith answered.
No one was there!

Text from Denice Rippentrop’s New Release

It Was When Jesus

Is was when Jesus gave His
Precious Body to be torn to shreds by
Thorns forcing their way into His Skin,
Nails pounded into His Hands and Feet, and
A spear piercing His Side, that
His Holy Blood was poured out,
Like red wine for
Thirsty sinners to drink and live.

The Moon as Metaphor

Accompanying me while driving home on a recent brutally cold night was an enormous new moon slung low in the eastern sky.  With the smudgy contours of a rabbit fleeing up the left perimeter and a smoky gray cloud cocked over the right, it reminded me of the odd, myopic contrast of our lives.  The robust, determined energy headed in one wide-eyed direction and the slouch and mystery into the dim-eyed other, both perhaps without a compass but glowing with enterprise in an unyielding backlight shadowing the path ahead.

The Light and the choice are constant. The path and the journey are not depending, of course, on your view.  The Light that supports the choice, illuminates the path and creates the journey is not always available to the ready eye, but lies just beyond the horizon heightening to our vision often at the most unexpected, needful moment, always present, never beyond mercurial limits, guiding us past ordinary boundaries of want and understanding.

We need but look up from the day’s purpose, its joys, dilemmas or despairs, to the breathtaking splendor of Light that beckons us to remedy life’s course, if need be, to secure our direction. The eye cannot see what to behold except for the miracle of Christ’s Light, the constant that informs our direction, the Light reflected in us by the warmth and certainty of His love, the guide of grace. - © 2009 Janice Kimes, All Rights Reserved

Seeing the Faith Journey Through...

How could I ever take this journey if Jesus was not in my heart?

Consider with me for a moment how Abraham, in his deep devotion and trust in God responded to life.  God asked him to offer his son Isaac as a burnt offering and what did Abraham do?  He obeys God.  Just think about this great act of faith Abraham displayed.  Just think how devoted he must have been to God and how connected he was to God that he knew God’s Voice with no confusion in his heart.

Now, in comparison what did Peter say in John 13:37?  “Lord, why can’t I follow you now?  I will lay down my life for you.”  But, before the cock crowed, Peter denied Jesus three times.  Where was Peter’s devotion - faith?  Was fear stronger in him than his devotion and trust in Jesus?

I propose this question to you as well as myself.

Are we so utterly devoted to Jesus, our Lord and Savior, that our responses to life demonstrate a complete trust and faith in Him?  - © 2009 Denice Rippentrop
